We loved how Omari handled our wedding. He was very communicative, had specific questions about how we wanted the evening to run, and ran the night very smoothly. Omari from DJB was incredible. We had a tight schedule, no power in some locations and a last minute live musician for the ceremony only and Omari worked with all of the challenges without a hitch. We also gave some vague requests like “eclectic music selection” , “live mixes of oldies and modern stuff” and “mashups!” And he understood exactly what we needed and delivered. The planning conversations were quick and efficient and he was extremely professional all the way through. We had a smallish wedding with a big variance of ages, cultures and music tastes and he managed to have everyone dancing. We even had multiple requests for his contact info as people wanted to hire him themselves. 10/10 recommend to everyone!

My now wife and I got married last weekend on Cape Cod, and I cannot express enough how amazing Omari was. From the planning, to the lighting, to the actual DJing Omari is the best you can ask for. Obviously we have no clue what goes into DJing but Omari really made it easy. He was able to accommodate maybe a different venue setting with multiple speakers and lighting. The whole night went as smoothly as you could want in large part to his organization, and professionalism. My wife can be picky with her music and he made it a great experience for everyone who attended, especially the old-timers. He had us fill out a spreadsheet of song requests prior to the event and he totally got our vibe. You would be truly lucky to have him DJ your wedding, or any event for that matter.

DJ Omari played a huge part in making our wedding a success. His communication was great leading up to the event and his system for planning is very good. Do your homework! We did not plan as much as we should and that confused some things for us with the catering, which links to the order of toasts and dances etc. DJ Omari was flexible and professional and made it work. Then weather pushed us out of our tent and he somehow accommodated the switch helping us to make the most out of our limited time for the dance party portion. DJ Omari was a pleasure to work with! We completed a worksheet to include all the must have and must exclude songs. He and his team provided the uplighting, music and photo booth with props for our 140 person wedding. When there was a bit of a mixup with our first dance, Omari quickly acknowledged it and worked hard to make the rest of the night flawless. To our surprise, he was able to coordinate playing a music set for a dance that some of our guests had created for us. He reads the dance floor very well, never keeping a song on too long or too short. Dancing was the thing I looked forward to most at our reception, and I did not leave the floor once. Omari was the DJ at my wedding last month and I would recommend him to anyone else getting married in the Boston area.My wife knew Omari socially, so he came to mind quickly when searching for a DJ. After our initial chat with him, I knew that he would be great for our special day; he had worked for weddings with a range of styles and had a great demeanor for hosting events. He was organized in the weeks leading up to the event, as we went through the run-of-show and song preferences. I appreciated his responsiveness to my questions, both via email and phone, right up to the night before.At the wedding, the logistics went smoothly and his mix of music was the perfect range of styles. He showed up on time and worked with our event coordinator to set up his equipment in a way that could handle the multiple rooms used during our event. I was moved to hear all the songs my wife and I had spent the previous weeks selecting. During the cocktail hour and dinner, he selected just the right ambient music and handled the logistics of our speeches well. Several people commented on how much they enjoyed the music after the reception: a mix of 90's hits with a splash of Bollywood. After giving Omari a representative list of songs (as well as a "do not play" list), he did a perfect job of filling in the rest and had people dancing all night.Overall, the music added an additional dimension of meaning to the event, largely thanks to Omari. I highly recommend him as a DJ.

Omari was our DJ + MC for a small wedding this fall.He was both easy to work with and very professional! We spoke on the phone and via email a few times beforehand to lay out the scope of the event and what would be needed; he took a few complex requirements in stride (e.g. needing a mix of indoor / outdoor speakers and microphones, mixing two songs together for a special dance).On the day-of, he was responsive to our changing schedule, and did a great job handling announcements and moving folks from one space to another. He was very independent in setting up, which was great, because it freed us up to deal with other vendors with last-minute questions. Finally, the music selection was great, and folks of all ages ended up on the dance floor!
